How to Get Started with OTC Trading as Customer?

OTC (Over-the-Counter) transactions differ from standard buy-sell transactions conducted on exchanges, as they take place directly between the user and a selected provider.
This method can offer:
  • More competitive pricing,
  • Faster transaction approval,
  • Personalized support for large-volume transactions.
CoinTR OTC transactions are currently available for USDT and TRY. This service allows users to buy and sell USDT directly with TRY through trusted providers.
 

Requirements to Start OTC Transactions

To perform an OTC transaction:
  • You must have the amount of USDT or TRY required for the transaction in your CoinTR wallet.
  • You must complete the identity verification (KYC) processes in your account.
 

How Do I Use CoinTR OTC Services as a Customer?

Follow the steps below to start OTC buy-sell transactions:
Step 1: Create an Account and Complete KYC Verification
  • Register on CoinTR.
  • Complete the general KYC verification process to activate account security and transaction permissions.
Step 2: Go to the OTC Page
Visit the OTC page. From there, click the “Start OTC Trading” button.
Step 3: Select a Provider and Request a Quote
  • Choose a provider from the list.
  • Click the “Request Quote” button next to the provider.
Then, on the next screen:
  • Select the transaction direction:
    • Buy → to purchase USDT
    • Sell → to sell USDT
  • Enter the amount you wish to transact in the “Pay” field.
  • Click “Request Quote” to submit your request.
Step 4: Wait for the Provider’s Quote
The provider has a maximum of 5 minutes to prepare the quote. When your quote is ready, the page will update automatically.
Step 5: Approve the Offer and Complete the Transaction
  • When the quote is ready, you will see it on your OTC page.
  • You have 5 minutes to approve the offer.
  • Once approved, your transaction will be completed.

What is the minimum amount required for an OTC transaction?
The minimum transaction amount is 500 USDT (or the equivalent amount in TRY).
How long does it take to receive a quote?
The provider has up to 5 minutes to determine the price.
What happens if I miss the 5-minute approval window?
If the offer is not approved within 5 minutes, it becomes invalid, and you will need to request a new quote.
Can I cancel my request after submitting a quote?
Once a request is submitted, it cannot be canceled until it expires or is rejected.
Can I use my funds during the quote process?
No. Your funds remain locked during the quote period. They will be unlocked once the offer is completed or canceled.
