How to Add a Passkey?

One of the most effective ways to enhance the security of your CoinTR account is by adding a passkey. A passkey allows you to log in securely without needing a password during the authentication process.
Note: You can create your passkey only through the CoinTR mobile app. Passkey creation is not available on the web version.
 

How to Add a Passkey

To add a passkey, please follow the steps below:
  1. Tap the CoinTR logo located at the top left corner of the homepage.
  2. Open the Security page.
  3. Select the Passkeys section and then tap the Add Passkey button.
  4. Read the Security Verification Disclaimer, then check the option “I have read and understood the disclaimer above and accept full responsibility,” and confirm.
  5. To complete the security verification, enter your email, SMS, or Google Authenticator (GA) codes and tap Confirm.
  6. Then complete your face or fingerprint verification.
Once these steps are completed, your passkey will be successfully added.
 

How to Remove a Passkey

If you wish to remove your passkey, you can follow the steps below:
  1. Open the Passkeys page.
  2. Find the passkey you want to remove.
  3. Tap the trash bin icon next to it to complete the deletion process.
 

Security and Privacy

CoinTR does not collect or store your biometric data (such as facial or fingerprint information). Using a passkey significantly increases the efficiency of your security verification process and simplifies authentication.
