CoinTR Identity Verification (KYC)

After creating an account on the CoinTR Platform to complete the KYC process, go to the “Unverified” tab on the screen and use the “Verify now” button at the bottom of the screen that opens to start the process.
 

Identity Verification Process

When initiating the identity verification process:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid ID,
  • You must possess a new Turkish Republic ID card,
  • You must ensure that your ID card has no damage, missing or erased information, or missing parts (such as a missing chip).
After pressing the “Check ID” button and granting camera permissions (if not previously granted or pre-enabled), you can start the ID verification process. During ID verification, the following steps must be performed in order:
  • Scan the front of the ID
  • Scan the back of the ID
  • Perform an NFC scan of the ID card
During the ID scanning process:
  • Ensure that the ambient light is sufficient.
  • Avoid using flash to prevent glare on the stickers on the ID or to ensure that the information is visible.
  • Ensure that the photos are clear and the information is legible.
If the photos do not meet the above criteria, please recreate them using the “Try again” button.
After the ID card recognition process, the system will redirect you to the “Selfie check” screen for verification. When preparing to take a selfie:
  • Ensure that your face is not covered by anything (sunglasses, mask, etc.),
  • Ensure that the ambient lighting is sufficient,
  • Ensure that your face is aligned with the area indicated on the screen.
All identity recognition and selfie review processes are performed automatically by the system and are completed within a maximum of 10 seconds.
 

Customer Identification Form

After the selfie check, you will be directed to the “Customer Identification Form” screen as required by relevant legislation. All users must confirm the accuracy of the information provided when filling in the relevant fields.
  • After completing the customer identification form, the address verification process begins. For address verification, a residence certificate must first be created via E-devlet, and the 16-digit address code below the barcode shown in the screenshot below must be entered in the relevant field.
  • The address verification process is completed within 10 minutes at the latest. Once address verification is complete, you will receive an in-app notification. When you tap on the relevant notification, an SMS code will be sent to you to start the video call. You can start the video call by entering the code in the relevant field on the screen.
  • The video call lasts approximately 3-5 minutes. Once our representative has completed all the necessary steps, the call is successfully completed, and you can start using your account with all its features.
